Alabama
16 CE hours every 2 years. Courses must be approved by the state board. Massage Mastery courses are NOT accepted.
Alaska
16 CE hours every 2 years. 2 hours ethics and 2 hours of CPR renewal are required from the same pool of total hours. Programs must be NCBTMB or FSMTB approved. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Arkansas
18 hours of CE every 2 years with a maximum of 6 hours online. Courses must be approved by the state board. Massage Mastery courses are NOT accepted.
California
No CE requirements.
Colorado
No CE requirements.
Connecticut
24 hours of CE every 4 years with a maximum of 18 hours online and no more than 12 hours that are non-NCBTMB approved. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Delaware
License Renewal: 24 hours of CE every 2 years with 3 hours of ethics (online or classroom), 9 hours of core (classroom only) and 12 hours elective (online or classroom). Massage Mastery courses are accepted for online hours.
Florida
24 hours of CE every 2 years with 2 hours of Florida law. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Georgia
24 hours of CE every 2 years. 12 hours must be hands on. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Hawaii
12 CE hours are required each year at license renewal with 2 hours in first aid or CPR. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Idaho
6 hours of CE required every year with 1 CE hour in the subject of ethics. Extra CE hours may be carried forward to the next CE period but not by more than 1 year. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Illinois
24 hours of CE every 2 years with two hours in the topic of ethics. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Indiana
24 CE hours required every 4 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Iowa
16 hours of CE every 2 years. A minimum of 8 hours must be hands-on. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Kansas
No state regulation.
Kentucky
24 hours of CE every 2 years. 3 hours of ethics. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Louisiana
Complete 12 hours of CE every year. Massage Mastery courses are NOT accepted.
Maine
No CE requirement.
Maryland
24 hours of CE every 2 years. 3 hours ethics, 3 hours communicable diseases, 17 hours massage therapy related, 1 hour diversity/cultural competency. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Massachusetts
There is no CE requirement.
Michigan
18 hours of CE due every three years completed in the two years preceding the application for license renewal. CE must include 1 hour of pain and symptom management and 2 hours of ethics and boundaries. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Minnesota
No state regulation.
Mississippi
24 hours of CE every 2 years. 3 hours of MS state laws/rules, and 3 hours of ethics. You will also need proof of current CPR and first aid certifications. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Missouri
12 hours of CE every 2 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Montana
12 hours of CE every 2 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Nebraska
16 CE hours annually with license renewal. 8 hours must be hands-on classroom hours (these hours cannot be taken online). 3 hours must related to ethics. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Nevada
24 hours of CE every 2 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
New Hampshire
12 hours of CE every 2 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
New Jersey
20 hours of CE every 2 years including 2 hours in ethics and 1 hour in laws and rules. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
New Mexico
16 hours of CE every 2 years with 4 hours of ethics. Only a total of 8 hours may be taken online. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
New York
36 hours of CE every 3 years. All 36 hours can be online. CE must be state board approved. Most Massage Mastery courses are accepted but teacher training is not accepted. See the “Specifications” for each course on the course information page linked from the course catalog for details.
North Carolina
24 hours of CE every 2 years. A minimum of 3 hours must be completed in the subject of ethics. A maximum of 6 hours may be taken online and a maximum of 8 hours of business CE is allowed. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
North Dakota
24 hours of CE every 2 years. A maximum of 10 hours can be completed online. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Ohio
No CE requirement.
Oklahoma
5 hours of CE every year in courses related to the practice of massage therapy. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Oregon
25 hours of CE every 2 years with 4 hours of the 25 in ethics, boundaries, or communication skills. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Pennsylvania
24 hours of CE every 2 years with a minimum of 4 hours of ethics, 2 hours of child abuse recognition, and 16 hours of classroom contact (not online) required. CPR certification must be current. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Rhode Island
6 CE hours annually. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
South Carolina
12 hours of CE every 2 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
South Dakota
8 hours of CE every 2 years. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Tennessee
24 hours of CE every 2 years with 2 hours relating to Tennessee statutes and rules, 2 hours related to the management of a massage practice or ethics, or substance abuse. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Texas
12 hours of CE every 2 years with 1 hour related to human trafficking. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Utah
No CE requirement.
Vermont
No state regulation.
Virginia
24 hours of CE every 2 years. 12 hours must be NCBTMB approved. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.
Washington

West Virginia
24 hours of CE every 2 years with 6 hours in the subject of ethics. Massage Mastery courses are accepted.

NCBTMB
All Massage Mastery courses are NCBTMB-approved and are accepted for NCBTMB Board Certification renewal.
