Anne Williams recently produced a webinar on “Putting Therapy Back in Aromatherapy” as part of Biotone’s Edu-Talk series and a replay is now available for you to enjoy. Click the video above to play.
You may know Anne William as the author of the bestselling foundational massage textbook, Massage Mastery: From Student to Professional or you might know her as the former Director of Education for ABMP. But what many people don’t know is that she is a noted aromatherapist. Anne Williams studied with Jade Shutes in 1995 and was in Purdue University’s International Training in Essential Oils and Rutger’s University Science of Essential Oils programs. Anne has traveled over the world with noted botanist and plant taxonomist Keith Shawe on essential oil and medicinal plant projects, largely through the UN. She has used aromatherapy as a clinical hypnotherapist and massage therapist for over 25 years and has developed aromatherapy curricula for several massage schools. She is the author of Aromatherapy Foundations for People Serious About Authentic Aromatherapy.
In this short webinar, Williams looks at recent research highlighting the therapeutic effects of essential oils. In this presentation, you’ll learn about essential oils that are analgesics, antineuralgics, antispasmodics, anti-inflammatory agents, nervine agents, and neurosedatives. When used properly, aromatherapy can boost the benefits of massage sessions for clients and improve your therapeutic outcomes.
